Joyce Lantrip Curry, 95, of Columbus, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Joyce was born on March 7, 1930 to the late Coleman Logan Lantrip, Sr. and Mary Alice Benton Lantrip.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Margarita Lantrip, Martha Sue Lantrip Stichweh, Coleman Logan Lantrip, Jr., Franklin Delano Lantrip, Sr., and Donald Douglas Lantrip; sons, Richard Dennis Curry and James Randall Curry; and grandchildren, Erica Curry, Ryan Curry, and Tyler Curry.
Joyce is survived by her son, Michael Lee Curry, her sister, Mary Ann Lantrip Day; granddaughters, Amy Fuchs (Stephen), Stephanie Curry, and Anna Curry; great grandchildren, Jacob Fuchs and Megan Fuchs; several first cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joyce enjoyed a long professional career as a corporate secretary in Columbus. She was a gifted singer, participating in her church choir as well as performing solos for weddings and events, and a talented seamstress, creating beautiful dresses and suits for herself and others.
Her family is thankful for her longtime friends, Camilla Rich, Jean Miller, and Evelyn Stahl. In addition, the family is ever so grateful for the love and friendship provided by her dear caregiver, Nakyndra (Kyndra) Favors Pace, during her last years of life.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 3:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Curch, 130 1st Avenue, Columbus, GA.
