Ann Weinbender Dobarzynski Lester of Troy passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2026, at age 65. Ann was born on October 17, 1960, in Wertheim, Germany. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven Paul Dobarzynski. She is survived by sisters, Nancy Winget of Yorktown, VA, Katie Yates of Milledgeville, GA, and brother, Fritz Weinbender of Columbus, GA.
Ann enjoyed radio broadcasting and made her career with Troy Public Radio. She enjoyed gardening and the peace of nature in her backyard adjacent to Troy University’s Arboretum nature preserve. She was passionate about the West Highland White Terrier breed, and an orange cat named Kiki, participating in fostering and ‘Westie Rescue’.
