Joyce Collette Davenport

Joyce Davenport, age 84 of Alvin, Texas passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her home in Alvin, Texas. Joyce was born on November 18, 1940 in Freeport, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 25 years. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Billy, parents, Marcus and Charles Krueger.

Joyce along with her husband Billy were long time active members of Westside Church of Christ where she was an integral part of the ministry to children of all ages as well as ladies' classes. She loved teaching cradle roll and never met a baby she didn't adore. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking, serving others and had a true gift for hospitality. Joy and laughter filled her home and she was always excited to be hostess to any event. She loved her family and friends and was an incredible wife for Billy for 60 years. They enjoyed travel, church, spending time with family and were an incredible team and blessing to others throughout their many years of marriage. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Mike Davenport and wife Debra, Steve Davenport and wife Lou Ann, Dan Davenport and wife Michelle, 8 grandchildren, Johnathon, Jennifer, Jessica, Joanna, Blake, Matthew, Lindsey, Joshua, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Westside Church of Christ in Alvin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Westside Church of Christ. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
