Joyce Ann Davis-West, age 80, of Beebe, passed away on Friday, September 29th, 2023. She was born March 29, 1943, at Moro Arkansas, to the late Jacob Wilson Free and Edna Etchison Free.
Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout Christian and a member of the West-side Church of Christ in Cabot, Arkansas.
She worked full time as a homemaker and as an operator and bookkeeper for her father at Pine Bluff Asphalt Works and later with her first husband at Davis Mobile Auto Trim. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the Watson Chapel school district for many years.
Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Clyde Junior Davis, her parents and a sister Karen Sue Free.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Dean West, to whom she was married on January 11th, 2013; her sister and lifelong best friend, Mary Lou Owen; her sons Michael Davis (Cindy) and Jody Davis (Barbara); step-daughter Melinda Rone; niece, Susan Owen Edwards, and nephew, Casey Owen (Johnnie); nine grandchildren, Christopher Davis (Dani), Kayla Davis, Sarah Zumwalt (Kolton), Jessica Davis, Katy Davis, Noah Davis, Colton King, Weston Dean (Kerri), and Teighlor Dean; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Rae Handy and Dawson Dean; a great-nephew, Jacob Owen (Ashley) and two great-nieces, Rachel Owen and Olivia Creasy (Zach); one great-great nephew and two great-great nieces; along with many other extended family members who she loved dearly.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 3, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. and Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Drive, in Beebe, AR, with Clarence Fell officiating. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff, AR at 3:00 p.m. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com to view the online registry.
