Obituary of Joyce T. DiCave

Joyce T. DiCave, age 85, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at Accent Care at Wilmington Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joyce made the Wilmington area her home for more than 50 years.

Joyce was a dedicated administrative assistant who proudly worked for the American Legion for many years. She found great joy in spending time with family and friends and especially loved playing cards-most notably Bridge-bowling at the Holiday Lanes, and dancing.

In addition to her parents, James and Katherine (Borden) McGuckin, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. DiCave Jr., who passed in 2004, and her companion, Jack Cucchi, who passed in 2025.

She is survived by five children: Michelle (Gary) Yanacek, Karen Brant, Marguerite (Steve) Holland, Lou-Anne (Doug) Rossino, and Louis (Cecille) DiCave III; nine grandchildren: Rachel (Matthew) Mitchell, Heather (Nathan) D'Ettorre, Emily, Todd, and Sarah Yanacek, Sienna Holland, Alyssa & Gage (Ashley) Rossino, and Milo DiCave; four great-grandchildren: Brantley, Malia, Vayda, and Makoa; and her sister, Patricia Marvel.

Funeral services will be held privately. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of a favorite cousin of ours. Joyce was always fun to be around and I have fond memories of her when I used to spend some time in the summer at Aunt Kay's home in Glenolden. We always liked to dance and listen to some good music. We hope the music will continue wherever she may be. Cousins Joanne and Jim
