Joyce Ann Dillard, 84, died Sunday, July 20, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was the first child born to her parents on June 3, 1941 in Marion County, Kentucky. Joyce married Larry Dillard on April 7, 1984. She was a homemaker and retired employee of General Electric. She was a faithful companion to Larry and worked along side him assisting in various roles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton & Ruth Brockman; in-laws, Maurice & Beatrice Dillard; brothers, Baute & Leon Brockman; and brothers-in-law, David Hayden and Donnie Dillard. Left to cherish her memory is Larry Dillard, spouse of 41 years; her special canine companion, Yardley who never left her side; sons, Timothy Brockman and Mike Dillard; daughter, LaRae Johns (Johnny); sisters, Karen Hayden and Lynne Muse (Bob); grandchildren, Brittany Brockman McFarland (Jacob Howard), Emily Johns and Ellie Long (Trey); great grandchildren, James, Matthew, Eli McFarland and Lucas Howard; two special nieces that helped care for her, Kristen Parr and Heather Wright (Tommy); along with several other nieces and nephews. Joyce's memorial service is 3pm Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation is after 1pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hosparus Health of Louisville.
