JOYCE J. DUNN, 83, of Ruma, Illinois, passed away at 6:35 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at R & R Country Care, Ruma, Illinois.
She was born to the late Raymond and Dorothy (nee Vasquez) Leinicke on February 25, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Joyce was the foundation of her family; a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who treasured her family more than anything. Every birthday and holiday celebration at her house was full of love and laughter. She was a great cook, the best skinned-knee kisser, and hurt feelings mender. We will miss most the phone calls to share exciting news, quick pep talks, or needs for advice. Just hearing her voice could brighten your day.
Joyce loved to take pictures, and was always putting together a scrap book for one of her children or grandchildren. She would always say, "Pictures are all you will have left of someone one day." She dedicated her life taking care of others, and made many close friends that became family to her. She was special to so many, and made a lasting impact on all that knew her.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ruma, Illinois.
