Joyce Earls, age 92 years, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was born in Birmingham, Michigan on September 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Nelson and Lila (Smith) Craig. Joyce resided in Vassar, where she raised her children, and in recent years she spent time in Reese and Saginaw. She was employed at Super Foods for many years, retiring in 1995 as a sales rep. Joyce would spend the next almost 20 years compassionately spending her time attending to adults and children that needed in-home care. She enjoyed spending time tending her garden and taking trips to the casino, most recently to Little River just a few weeks ago.
Surviving family include her daughters, Lori Ruhstorfer and Karen (Ulrich) Ilmer; grandchildren, Amy (Ken Shapland) Wilcox, Jody Wilcox, Fred (Billie Jo) Leipold, Mira (Christoph) Schroeter and Martina Ilmer; as well as several great-grandchildren and a sister, Leora Stedry. Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Wilcox; sister, Betty Gawne and a brother-in-law, Lee Stedry.
Cremation has taken place and private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, next to her parents.
