Northampton, MA - Joyce J. (Aldrich) Elliott, 96, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, in the presence of her devoted and loving family at Care One of Northampton. She was born in Northampton on June 3, 1929, to Wyman and Regina (Gougeon) Aldrich. Joyce attended schools in Florence and graduated from Northampton High School.

Joyce, together with her husband Donald, brother-in-law Charlie, and his wife Estelle, operated the Elliott Brother's Food Concession at local fairs until the mid-1980s, eventually handing the business to their son Dean and his wife Lynn and to her nephew, Chuck Elliott and his wife Diane. Afterward, she worked as a food service employee at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Leeds, later becoming a second cook at Smith College's Hubbard House before retiring. Joyce resided in Florida, enjoying golf, gardening, and knitting in her free time. She was also a longtime member of the former Blessed Sacrament Church.

She is survived by her sons, Dean Elliott and his wife Lynn of Northampton, David Elliott and his wife Dolores of Easthampton, her daughter Deborah LeClair and her husband Eric of Easthampton, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters Rita Douville, Janet Cleary, and Claire Diemand all of Northampton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald Elliott Sr, her son Donald Elliott Jr., and her brother Leonard Aldrich.

There will be a calling hour on Monday February 9, 2026, from 10 AM – 11 AM at DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 DAMON RD. NORTHAMPTON. A Prayer Service will begin in the Funeral Home at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton.
