Joyce Lynn Gilger, 72, of Canton,passed away Thursday, February 20th, at Aultman Compassionate Care surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia on February 6, 1953, a daughter of the late Roy James and Ruby Evelyn (Starkey) Christner. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by Loving Husband Joseph Gilger, 5 sisters Shirley Stickle, Darlene Christner, Talenia Hardy, Judy Kelley, Delores Rittenhouse, 5 brothers Jimmy Christner, Willie Christner, Gilbert Christner, Lee Christner, Dave Rittenhouse, 3 nephews Ronnie McElroy, Joey Cavella, Shane Stamey. Survived by 2 daughter Rachel (Steve Taylor) Lawhun; Patricia (Brett) Pierce; daughter from another mother Susan Wilson; 2 sons Gilbert Eugene (Theresa Henry) Miller, Johnny Miller; 2 sisters Sandra Stamey, Patti Cavella; brother Donnie Rittenhouse; 10 grandchildren Gibby Miller, Steve Taylor, Kelis Taylor, Mya Taylor, Kayleigh Pierce,Joseph Pierce,Tammy Pierce, Gilbert Miller Jr., Angie Soles, Amanda Beach; great-grandson Kyrie Taylor, a host of nieces and nephews including 13 nieces Sierra Locker, Lakia Locker, Shirlina Kelley, Maria Synder, Cledith Stickel, Ruby Wright, Sheila Betleyoun, Barbara Semple, Misti Mellinger, Mandy Lambert, Brittany Stickley, Monica Lovell, Chrissy Reardon; 7 nephews John Kelley, Mike Davis, T.J Simpson, Gary Simpson, Brandon Stickley, JR Stickley, Rickey Shank as well as other family members and friends. Joyce will be deeply missed by everyone. No services will be held at this time.
