Joyce L. Gower, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Signature Healthcare- Hillcrest. She was born in Rockport, Indiana to the late Clifford and Mildred Wilson Morris.
Mrs. Gower retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she worked in public assistance. She was a longtime and active member of Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church and was especially committed to choir. Joyce was a giving person and very sociable. She enjoyed playing games and watching Kentucky basketball. Most of all, she loved family- whether it was spoiling the grandkids, hosting family get-togethers or spending time with family in California. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by a son, Kelly Hamilton (Samantha) and daughters, Stacy Kammerman (Greg) and Elizabeth Hamilton; a step-daughter, Cindy Wells; grandchildren, Brandy Hoagland, Jamie Kammerman, P.J. Blandford, Shaun Kammerman, Sara Wells, Andrea King, Ryan Kammerman, Jarrett Hamilton and Campbell Hamilton; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Sue Stoermer and Phyllis Sigler; and several nieces and nephews.
Plans for a memorial service will be announced later.
