Joyce Gran

Joyce Margaret Gran, who loved to be called Joy, passed away on January 24th, 2025 in Ashland, Oregon. She lived a full 86 years. Born and raised in England. Married Greg Gran in the Air Force [still alive]. Moved to America where she became a proud US Citizen. Divorced in 1970. She would say her greatest accomplishments were her two children. Survived by her daughter, Fouzia Shibley and her son, Gamiel Gran. Additionally, her daughter-in-law Gail Gran, her son-in-law Dan Shibley. Her grandchildren Spencer Gran, Cooper Gran, & Emily Mckenzie & great grandson Callahan McKenzie. Her step-grandchildren Joy Shibley, Danny Shibley, Naomi Alvarado & Dominique Shibley. Her step-great grandchildren, Charlotte Coleman and Wesley Alvarado. Lived in California for the majority of her life working as a receptionist. Spent over 10 years teaching in China. Worked for US Forest service in Ashland, Oregon. After suffering a major stroke in 2010, she lived in Assisted Living facilities for the remaining part of her life. Known for her faith in God, one of the last things she told her daughter, "I know my Prince of Peace, the Lord is with me." There will be an intimate family gathering celebrating her life in March.
