Joyce Griffin passed away on the morning of May 20, 2025, in Turlock, California, at the age of 78.
Born on February 27, 1947, in Delano, California, Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and stepmother. Family was always at the center of her life, and her love for them was endless.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Randall (Randy) Griffin; her sons, Bradley Martin and Randall Griffin Jr.; her sister, Patricia Clairday (Patsy); her brothers, Virgil Walters (Peewee) and Kenneth Walters (Kenny); and her great-grandsons, Torbin Hardee and Nicholas Farris.
She is survived by her children Leslie Martin, Bobbie Martin, Lanora Griffin, Patricia Griffin, and stepdaughter Kim DeLong; her brothers Steve Walters and Bobby Walters; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her deeply.
Joyce worked for many years at the Turlock Journal, where she enjoyed her time and the people she worked with. More than anything, Joyce will be remembered for how deeply she loved. She was the heart of her family-the one who always showed up, made every moment special, and made sure everyone knew they were loved. She was the glue that held her family together, and her presence will be felt in every gathering, every story, and every shared memory.
A viewing will be held at 3:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 4:00 p.m., both on May 31st at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. All who knew and loved Joyce are welcome to join in honoring her life.
She will be missed more than words can say-and loved forever.
