Joyce Edge "Jo" Hinson, 78, of St. Pauls, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Born January 29,1947, in Robeson County, Jo was the daughter of the late John Robert Edge, Sr. and Juanita Patterson Edge. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John Robert "Bobby" Edge, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dickie" Hinson; daughter, Sherry Hinson Atkinson and husband Richard; granddaughter, Sarah Barner and husband Dale; brother, William Edge and wife Diane; furbaby, Trixie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Jo will be remembered for her passion for gardening, often being found outside tending to her yard whenever she could. Though her love for gardening was great, the one thing she loved even more was spending time with her family. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Her kind and compassionate spirit will live on in everyone whose lives she impacted over the years. Godspeed Ms. Jo, and thank you for a job well done. Until we meet again...
