Mrs. Joyce Ann Immonen, age 71, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on December 22, 1953, to the late Eugene Hollon and Ederie (Anderson) Hollon. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was the center of her universe. She radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around her. Joyce was very strong in her faith and was determined to carry that legacy for younger generations. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church for many years. She found joy in the garden, where she grew flowers and vegetables. Joyce brought laughter, warmth, and authenticity to every moment. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Blake Turner.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 12 years, Dale Immonen; children, Sarah Holland (Jeff), Rebecca Gnau, and Isaac Turner (Teresa); grandchildren, Dillon Holland, Bella Holland, Elijah Holland, Chloe Holland, Katelin Gnau, and Wyatt Gnau; step-children, Richard Immonen (Laurie), Kathleen Simenton (George), and Linda Corriveau (Joseph); siblings, Jesse Hollon (Connie), Lana Jackson (Rene), Betty Marcum (Roger), and Brenda Sexton (Michael); along with many other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held Friday, July 25, 2025, at 12:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
