Joyce (Joy) Hennes Obituary
Joyce (Joy) Marie Hennes, age 78 of Denmark, WI passed away on June 22, 2023. She was born in Green Bay to the late Matthew and Gladys Guns. She married James Ducas on July 3, 1965, they later divorced. Joy spent many years as a driver for Medi-Vans. On April 9,1988 she married John Hennes who preceded her in death on the 4th of July 2022. They were fishing and hunting buddies. Joy was always putting a puzzle together or coloring in her many books. She was an avid reader and gardener. When there was good weather she could be seen all over town on her scooter.
Joy is survived by her two daughters Jodi (John) Rabida of Mt. Olive IL, Jill (Gabe) Kordus of Kimberly WI, step-son Jeff (Teresa) Hennes of Green Bay, grandchildren Jonathan (Jamie) Rabida, Matthew (Danielle Jones) Rabida, Emily (Skyler) Roper, Miriam Kordus and her great-grandchildren Lena, Skylar, Marina, and Annaliese. Her grandchildren were her moon and the stars. She will be missed terribly.
Besides her parents and husband, preceding Joy in death were her siblings Donnie Guns, Jean VerBruggen, and Geri Geiger.
A private memorial service will be held by her family at a later date.
