Joyce Mae Knight

Joyce Mae (Lawrence) Knight, 89 passed on into the arms of Jesus, on Thursday November 27, 2025, in Ault, Colorado. Joyce, born as Paula LaRue Pennell on March 17, 1936, was adopted by Francis and Nellie (Wiggins) Lawrence and was given the birth date of March 14, 1936. For those who didn't know, mom loved to celebrate both days as her birthday. Raised in Ohio and Kansas is where she met Gary LeRoy Knight to whom she would be married to for 61 years at the time of his death in August of 2015.

Joyce was a caretaker of many, who loved animals, outdoors and traveling with whoever would join her. She supported all her family's dreams (along with the challenges) with encouragement and open arms, and she was always up for joining in on the fun!

Joyce will be remembered most for her GO and GET EM attitude, her FIGHT, and LOVING support of EVERYONE!

Those who will greatly miss her are: Glen Pennell, Connie (Richard) Salazar, Grandchildren Julie (Rodney) Adams, Sandy (Kurt) Parsons, Summer (Nick) Salazar, Torrie (Ughchukwu) Obioha, Shane Salazar; Toni (William) Taskey, Grandchildren Janel (Jeremy) Trumble, Rylon (Christina) Peterson, David (Jenny) Wynn, Amy (BJ) Creek; Bruce (Janice) Knight, Grandsons Dustin (Jenny) Knight and Jacob Knight; Tawnya (Martin) Garcia, Grandchildren: Talayna (Jonathan) Mundt, Natalia (Philip) Carnevale, Antonia (Lance) Albrandt, Nathaniel (Natalie) Garcia, Jayla (Nathan) Joyner, and Rudy (her Boston Terrier). Great Grandchildren: Brianna (Marshal), Kasandra (Harrison), Chris, Makaeli, Ben, Destiny, Justice, Logan, Bryan, Dana, Kyla, Alexis, Katarina, Steven, Brayden, Lahtie, Jacob, RJ, Ansel, Jayce, Scarlett, Wild, Everest, Mato, Silas and baby girl Carnevale. Great-Great Grandchild Sylliss; Sister-In-Law Alice Sell; Nephew Terry (Barb) Sell and Niece Barb (Roger) Suggs and several great nieces, nephews and many friends.

Those she will join in heaven are: Husband Gary, Grandchildren Marta Diane Peterson, Danny Martin Garcia Jr., and Gabbriella A'rica Garcia. Son-In-Law Kenneth Wynn, Brother-in-law Wayne Sell. Her adoptive parents Frances and Nellie Lawrence, her biological mother Dorothy Pennell and biological siblings Johnny, Dale, Gale, Francis, and Christine; In-laws Jack Knight and Pauline Watts, 1 Great-Great Granddaughter, and 1 Great-Great Grandson Takala Joyner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 13, 2026 at Adamson Life Celebration Home, Greeley, Colorado.
