Obituary of Joyce Carol Kosbab
Joyce Carol Kosbab, at the age of 91 died Monday, December 23,2024 at their winter home in Mesa, AZ with her family by her side.
Joyce was born March 4, 1933, daughter of Ruth and Horace Hollmeyer, in St. Cloud, MN.
Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Kosbab, May 4, 1957. They were excited to have celebrated their 67 wedding anniversary in 2024 with a party in Mesa, AZ.
While living in Pine City, they would spend the summers at the cabin, on Platte Lake, in Hillman, MN. While there she enjoyed trolling on the pontoon catching fish with her family. Joyce worked at the Bank for many years and volunteered at Pine City High School in the cafeteria. Joyce also was part of Easter Star and Red Hat Ladies. She sang in the church choir at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Then during the winter months, they became snowbirds and traveled to San Diego, CA for 10 years. While there she had the opportunity to work at the PGA Tournaments and loved playing golf, getting together with friends to play all types of card and board games. Bridge and many other types were her favorites.
In 2007 they sold the homestead in Pine City and made the cabin in Hillman, MN, their permanent summer residence and settled in Mesa, AZ as their winter home.
Joyce was the youngest of three sisters Barb Miller and Betty Wells. She loved spending time with her family and was the life of the party. We will always remember her for her love of sweets.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband, Ray, son Joel Kosbab (residing in Pine City, MN), daughter Tamara Holmes and husband Todd (residing in Brooklyn Park, MN).
The Celebration of Life is pending arrangements.
