Kenneth A. Kosbab 94, of Naples, FL, and a former resident of Bonita Springs died on January 6, 2024, at the Frances Georgeson Hospice House in Naples. He was born on October 1, 1929, in Rochester, NY a son of the late Albert F. and Kathryn (Grau) Kosbab. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs since retiring in 1994 and moved to Naples in 2009.
A former lifelong resident of Rochester, NY he was a graduate of the University of Rochester where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his career, Ken worked for Delco and General Motors where he proudly gained a patent for one of his projects. He finished his career working on government projects in Cost Management for Eastman Kodak.
After moving to Bonita Springs, Ken and his wife, Muriel moved to Cedar Creek and Ken became quite involved with the development. As one of the original owners, he volunteered to serve as Chairman of the Architectural Review Committee and served on the Board of Directors, assisted with the Christmas Committee and the Neighborhood Watch Committee.
He was a member and deacon at Christus Victor Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. He worked on various committees including the social committee where he organized lunches and dinners. He is also a member of the Elks Lodge and an avid tennis player and table tennis player. At the age of 65, he won the Florida State Table Tennis Championship.
His beloved wife Muriel passed in 2007.
In 2009, Ken and Lillian Millman moved to Tarpon Cove in Naples and finally to All Seasons.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen McIntyre, and her husband, Timothy Salsberg of Ft. Myers, FL; his son, Alan Kosbab of Escondido, CA and his cherished partner for the past 14 years, Lillian Millman of Naples, FL.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Christus Victor Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Walt Lichtenberger, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial garden in Victory Park at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to Café of Life, St. Matthews House, or Christus Victor Lutheran Church.
