Joyce M. Lanoue

1939 - 2025

Joyce T. Lanoue, 85 of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at her home in Bennington, surrounded by loved ones, on March 27, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Joyce was born in North Bennington, VT on December 18, 1939, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Rice) Thomas. She married Theodore Lanoue in North Bennington, VT on May 12, 1962. Mr. Lanoue passed away on November 18, 2017.

Joyce worked for 35 years at Bijur Products Inc. in Bennington. She loved tending to her gardens, baking for others, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother.

Joyce is survived by her son, Gerald (Jerry) Lanoue, of Bennington, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Edward Lanoue, and her sisters, Mary Morse and Carol Ann Lindsay.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Tuesday April 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the EP Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington. Burial will follow the service at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, March 31 from 2:00-4:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 1 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM.
