Joyce F. Lawrence

Joyce F. Lawrence, age 92 of Geneva, passed away on February 22, 2026, at her home with her husband of 52 years by her side. She was born on May 3, 1933, in Willoughby to the late George and Faye (nee: Brunson) Eckart. Prior to raising her family, Joyce worked at Fisher Body as a keypunch operator.

Joyce was a faithful and active member of the Community of Christ Church where she and her husband served as Priests for 50 years.

She is mourned by her husband, Bill Lawrence; Daughter, Danya (Tom) Pogozelski; stepchildren, John (Lisa) Lawrence, Wayne (Lydia) Lawrence, Linda (Chuck) Breitenbach, and Dawn (Tom) Hilscher; Grandchildren, Amber, Gregory, Che'lynn, Braden, Eric, Felicia, Chelsey, and Joshua; great grandchildren, E.J., Rosalyn, Zinnia, Georgia, Peyton, Owen, Aurora; and sister-in-law, Barbara Eckart.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her daughter, Cindee Lee Laing; grandson, Sean Laing; and brother, Dan Eckart.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5-7:00PM with a funeral service following at 7:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Interment will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Mentor Municipal Cemetery at 10:00AM
