JOYCE MARIE LICHLYTER, age 89 of Dandridge, TN passed away, Saturday morning, October 4, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late John and Lizzie Lewis and was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Lewis and sister, Hilda Grice. She leaves and survived by her beloved husband of 73 years. Ralph Lichlyter, Sr.; children, Boyd (Billie) Lichlyter, Glenn (Beverly) Lichlyter, Sharon (Robert) Brihn; Karen Trolinger,, and Junior (Luz) Lichlyter; grandchildren, Ethan (Carol Ann) Lichlyter, Jessica (Davy) Albright , Dillion Lichlyter, Joe (Holly) Cauthen, Brad Cauthen and Tiffany Potter, Melissa (Chad) Cotter, Austin Potts, Brandon (Stephanie) Potts, Fernanda (Pepe) Martinez, Alexa Lichlyter (Louis) Rodriguez; Sisters, Geneva Buckner, Inez Turner, Edna Hance, Agnes Gregg; 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joyce enjoyed flowers and working as a flower designer. She was an owner and operator of floral shops throughout her working years. Joyce will be remembered for her love of going to the beach, staying busy working with her crafts and quilting and participating in the Family Community Education, which is a volunteer for family Christian education and the Busy Bees that was a group of ladies at Lawsons Chapel Church who worked on to help others that were in need of a helping hand. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2025, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Dr. Sonny Strange, Pastor Bill Cheetham and Rev. Eddie Gray officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Friends will gather Tuesday at 12:45 graveside for the 1:00pm committal service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and Taylor, Katrina, Brittany and other staff members for their special care. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Lawsons Chapel Church 2722 Indian Creek Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725.
