Joyce Ann (Mary) Paukovits, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Born on March 31, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA and residing most of her life in Carlisle and Mechanicsburg PA, Joyce lived her life with unwavering devotion and boundless love for her family, embodying the true spirit of nurturing.

Aside from working in banking management and for the Pennsylvania Counseling Services, her favorite and primary job was as a wife and mother.  It was her family that remained at the heart of everything Joyce did. She was an incredibly family-oriented woman, known for making every family event a priority, ensuring she was there to cheer on her grandchildren at their various activities.

Joyce’s love for travel was evident in the cherished memories she created alongside her husband, Alfred. Their frequent trips to Florida were filled with laughter and adventure, a testament to a steadfast relationship marked by companionship and joy.

A vibrant personality, Joyce was extremely social and enjoyed connecting with others. She engaged in various hobbies that brought her joy, including reading, where her collection of books reflected her love for stories and ideas. Additionally, she was known for her participation in a card club and playing bingo, which further showcased her spirited nature. A passionate supporter of her home team, she was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, often seen wearing her team colors.

Joyce’s legacy will live on through her loving family. She leaves behind her husband, Alfred Paukovits; her children, William (Katherine) Paukovits, Aimee Paukovits, and Keith (Katie) Paukovits; and her cherished grandchildren, Robert (Annie) Schmidt, Blake Paukovits, Liyah Rashid, John Paukovits, and Grace Paukovits, her sisters Jean Woleslagle and Kathleen (Don) Burrows, sister-in-law Judy Paukovits, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews. Each of them has been touched by her warmth and love, carrying forward the values she instilled in them.

Joyce is preceded in death by her daughter, "Baby" Joyce Paukovits, who left a void in their hearts. She also rejoins her parents, William H. and Margaret Mary, whose love shaped her character and spirit.

Joyce Ann Paukovits will forever be remembered for her love and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. Rest in peace, dear Joyce; your legacy of love and devotion will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
