Joyce Means Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Community Mortuary, Inc. - Union on Feb. 2, 2026.
Joyce Ann Bryant Means, 82, of Jonesville, SC, departed this earthly life on February 1, 2026, at her residence. A native of Union County, SC, she was the widow of Jimmy Lewis "Jimbo" Means and daughter of the late James David Bryant and Lucinda Harris Bryant.

Joyce was educated in the Public Schools of Union County. She retired from Consoe Products. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kelton, SC.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two brothers, James R. Bryant, and Arthur "Lee" Bryant; and one sister, Willie Mae Williams.

Joyce did not have children of her own, but she had nephews and nieces who she helped to raise to include a special great niece, Laquandria Bryant. She supported them at events and loved them all as her own. They brought her joy, laughter and loving memories.

Left to cherish precious and fond memories are her brother, Frank H. Bryant; sister, Mary L. McBeth; two aunts, Patricia Harris and Gladys Harris; two longtime friends, who were like sisters, Pearl Sims, and Sharon "Shay" Shelton; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends in the community all of whom will miss her dearly.
