Joyce F. Mercer, 76, of Leasburg, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan surrounded by her family. She was born on March 24, 1949 in Potosi, MO, to Alvin and Marion Mercer.

Joyce grew up with her brothers in Potosi, she graduated from Potosi High School. She married soon after graduation and began her family. As life changed and her family continued to grow they settled in the Sullivan area. Joyce's life was centered on raising her children. She was blessed with the first of what would eventually be 38 grandchildren at the young age of 43.

Joyce loved finding a bargain, she spent endless hours going to thrift stores and yard sales finding her treasures. Joyce was a collector of all things, even animals. If there was a stray in the neighbor she would adopt it. Over the years birds, cats, dogs, even a deer were cared for by Joyce. Joyce loved to be among her treasures and animals while listening to Patsy Cline. She loved her children and grandchildren and was always concerned what they were doing in life.

Joyce is survived by her children; Larry Battreal of Kokomo, IN, Andy Boyer of St. James, MO, Leo Boyer and his wife, Misty, of Cuba, MO,Angie Barton and her husband, Jason, of Sullivan, MO, Jesse Boyer of Kokomo, IN, James Boyer of Farmington, MO, Stephen Mercer and his wife, Samatha, of Rolla, MO, Stephanie Mercer of Leasburg, Marcella Hudson of Bourbon, MO; 37 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Joe Mercer of Potosi, MO and Jim Mercer and his wife, Janet, of Desoto, along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Marion Mercer, her son, Charlie Boyer, and one granddaughter, Brittney Horn.

Arrangements are under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

Cremation has taken place.
