Joyce Ann Nagel Ciotta, 57, of Fort Payne passed away Monday, January 28, 2013. She was a graduate of Tekonsha High School and Adrian College. In 1977, she went to work for GameTime, Inc. in Michigan, later moving to Fort Payne with the company and was presently the General Accounting Director. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church where she taught confirmation for the religious education students. She is survived by her husband 33 years, Steven Mark Ciotta, her daughter Terra Lea Ciotta of Charlotte, NC, son Daniel Ciotta of Huntsville, AL, mother Julia Pinke Nagel, of Michigan, brothers Joe Nagel, Marty Nagel, and Mike Nagel, sisters Leslie Reagle, Gladys Gibbons, Mary Shakinis, Linda Tatar, Rose O'Donnell, and Ruth Devos, and grandchildren Trinity Taylor Ciotta, Kaitlynn Marie Ciotta, and Kayla Ann Ciotta. She was preceded in death by her father Lester Bernard Nagel, brother John Nagel, and sister Theresa Ann Nagel. Funeral mass took place Wednesday, January 30 2013 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Fort Payne, AL. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Our Lady of the Fatima Catholic Church, 8220 M-60, Union City MI, 49094, from 12noon to 2pm. A funeral mass will take place at 2pm with Reverend Father Dan Doctor officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. Family requests memorial contributions be made to the scholarship fund of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, P.O. Box 681446, Fort Payne, AL 35968. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
