Joyce Elaine Nelson

Joyce (Lamer), (Cash), Nelson, 81, of Salina, born January 14, 1944, passed away early on Friday August 8th, 2025 and went home with her Savior.

Joyce Elaine Lamer was born in Salina, Kansas the second of six children to Roland Walter Lamer and Helen Louise Lamer. Joyce grew up in Salina, New Cambria and Culver Kansas. Joyce so loved her home, her family, and her Lord.

Throughout her life she studied anything that enabled her to better understand her bible and the words of her Lord. She enjoyed sharing her gained knowledge with others.

To ensure for the needs of home and family Joyce established a small service business providing home maintenance. The business thrived for many years. She, along with her husband Clarence (Rick) Nelson enjoyed building their family and growing their three boys Ed, Randy and Chris to adulthood in Salina, Kansas.

Joyce enjoyed music of all types; in her later years she could be observed listening to her beloved hymns whether she was driving or at home. She continually demonstrated her devotion to God, home and family right up to Friday August 8th when our Lord extended his loving arms to little Joyce Elaine and she went home to further attend to family.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., Sunday, August 17, at Roselawn Memorial Chapel, 1920 E Crawford, Salina, Kansas 67401. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 18, at Roselawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
