Joyce Elaine Nix age 82 of Charlotte, NC died Saturday, December 14, 2024. Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Franklin Watts and Allie Mae Redwine Watts.
She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.
She is survived by her husband Thomas M. Nix of the home, one daughter, Cindy Good and husband Eric of Huntersville, NC, one step son, Ken Nix and wife Sandra of Charlotte, NC, one brother, Robert Watts(Sarah) of Nakina, NC, four sisters, Sylvia Warren (Buster) of Nakina, NC, Pam Ward (Roger) of Whiteville, NC, Carol Ray (Glenn) of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Erma Billings of Charlotte, NC, Retha Presley of Indian Trail, NC, two grandchildren, Jamie Nix and Nicole Heller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kirby Watts, and one sister, Norma Watts.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 2:00pm in Nakina Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Watts Cemetery, Nakina, NC.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00pm until service time in the church.
