Joyce Marilyn Peak ObituaryJoyce Marilyn Peak (née Ensor) age 91, passed away peacefully in her home in Jarrettsville, MD on Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late D. Rodney Peak and at the time of his death in September of 2019, they had shared over 49 years of marriage.
Born on June 20, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Helen E. Winskowski and Benjamin T. Ensor.
A lifetime resident of Harford County, Joyce graduated from North Harford High School class of 1952. She served as her class treasurer and was a star varsity basketball player. Joyce, career as secretary to Asst Supt & High School Supervisor of Harford Co. Schools, secretary to McNabb & Clark, Attorneys Bel Air MD. She then became a stay at home mother until 1966 when she returned to the work field as supervisor of A/R, Kunkel Service Co., Bel Air MD. She then became a homemaker and skilled bookkeeper for family owned business, Rodney's Automotive Machine Shop.
Joyce was a homemaker, cared for her family, loved to bake, cook and found great joy in preparing for holiday celebrations. She enjoyed gardening and crafts counted cross stitch, crochet and sewing. In addition, bowling was a favorite pastime shared with her husband Rodney.
She is survived by her children Charles S. Crowl, Sr. of Fawn Grove, PA, Jacquelyn J. Fike of Sycamore,PA and Donna G. Pistoria of Fawn Grove, PA., 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sister Janet R. Sheppard. She was preceded in death by her son "Jody" Vinson LeRoy Crowl, Jr., granddaughter Emily R. Bosley and great grandson Xavier Crowl..
The private viewing and funeral will be held. The Interment will take place in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD. Wagner-Elfner & Harkins Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc 600 Main Street, Delta, is assiting the family with arrangements.
