Joyce Pope Obituary
Survivors include her children, Pam Pope Cavender (Dennis) and Kathy Pope Hale; grandchildren, Clint (Trish) Cavender, Leigh Pope, Christan Akers, Nicole (Todd) Penton, T.R. Hale; great-grandchildren, Dylan Brown, Billyann Akers, Taylor Cavender, Chloe Cavender, Summer Penton, Tyler Penton; great-great grandchild, Weston Brown; extended family.
Mrs. Pope worked for many years in the Real Estate business with Daniel Realty. She was a faithful member of East LaGrange Baptist Church where she cherished the many friendships she had through the years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at the East LaGrange Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Smith and Pastor Max McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn/Hillview Annex. Family will receive friends on Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 pm. Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your precious Mother! She was such a dear sweet loving lady! As hard as it is for your family I know she is happy to be with her wonderful husband Billy! He was a dear funny man! Anytime you were around them You could see the love and respect they had for each other. Joyce was a wonderful cook. I had the pleasure to eat with her and family a couple of times. My memories of time spent in her and Billy´s home are cherished. I wish I could be there for you all today! Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you All. Mrs. Joyce will be truly missed!

Joyce was a wonderful woman. She always was so good to me and welcomed me into her home on all occasions with her family. I will truly miss her but I know she was a Christian woman and is in Heaven. My prayers for the family during this time of sadness.
