Joyce Ann Powers

Joyce Ann Powers, age 72, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
She was a daughter of the late Chester Powers and Betty Foust Chittum. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, camping, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: Patsy Davis, Eddie Powers.
She is survived by her children: Michael (Rhonda) Powers, Johnathan (Jessica) Daniels, Nathan Daniels (Baylee Lane); grandchildren: China (Shawn) Standridge, Ellianna Daniels, Greyson Daniels; great grandchildren: Brayden Barker, Braxton Daniels, Weston Standridge, Barrett Standridge, Lila Standridge; siblings: James Powers, Dennis Powers, Evon Waller, Beverly Ferguson; special friend for over 25 years: Tom Waldrop; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon – 2 p.m., prior to the service.
