Beloit – Joyce Mae Riley, age 91, of Beloit, WI passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 18, 1934, in Beloit, to Forrest and Florence (Schultz) Lawver. Joyce graduated class of 1952 from South Beloit High School. She married Dale William Riley on June 4, 1954, in Dixon, IL. Joyce worked for Beloit Corp and Shopko. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Red Cross.

Joyce loved reading, going to ceramic classes, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, canning, occasional trips to the casino, tending to her flower gardens, humming birds, and watching the bald eagles soar through the sky. She was an avid packer fan and enjoyed watching them play. She had many dogs and cats throughout the years and loved them all.

Joyce is survived by her 3 children; James Riley, David Riley, and Cheryl Riley, 3 grandchildren Jennifer (Andrew) Wisness, Michael Riley, and Morgan Riley, 3 great grandchildren; Abigail, Michael, and Jake, 3 brothers; Darrell (Mary) Lawver, Jeff (Lisa) Lawver, and Marty (Kelly) Lawver, sister; Bobbi Jo (Dennis) McCann, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers; Vernon, Claire, and Ron, sister; Lois.

In Lieu of flowers please donate to Beloit Regional Hospice.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Beloit Hospice with special thanks to Ashley and Anderia.

A private graveside service will be held at Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, WI.
