Joyce Rohmiller Obituary

Joyce Rae Rohmiller, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13th, 2002, at Asbury Methodist Retirement Village in Gaithersburg, MD. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed. She was born August 14th, 1931, in Bellevue, KY and was the daughter of Elmer Thomas Lach and Leota (Galloway) Lach. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1949 and was class poet. She married Charles Rohmiller from Covington, KY in May 1953 and had two children.

When her children were in Jr. High School, Joyce began her career as an executive secretary and worked for various companies including Rockville Fuel & Feed and the National 4-H Council Headquarters in MD. After retirement, Joyce and Charles moved from Wheaton, MD to Wilmington, NC to The Villages, FL with Joyce making a final move back to MD to be closer to her family. She was a long time member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Wheaton, MD She is predeceased by her parents Elmer and Leota, her husband Charles, brother Marion and sister Annabelle. She is survived by son David (Vicki), daughter Patricia, grandchildren Allison (Mason), Katie (Keith), Abbey, Charlie, great-grandchildren Lincoln, Lennon, Olivia, and niece/goddaughter Pam. Joyce pre-arranged to have her body donated to the Maryland State Anatomy Board for medical

research. After cremation she will be interred with her husband Charles in KY. No funeral is planned. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Joyce Rohmiller
