Joyce A. Saxon, age 82, died peacefully February 23, 2026 at Browns Health & Rehab. She is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and RE Aldrich, Infant child, Joyce Marie, siblings, Margaret Quarles, Sylvia Hill, Talmadge Aldrich, Aubrey Aldrich, Jerry Aldrich and Gloria Crosby.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ray Saxon and cherished son, Dell Saxon, and his wife Kelli. She is the grandmother of two adoring grandchildren, Haley and Eben Saxon. Sister to Harold Aldrich and Deborah Harville and an aunt to many.
Joyce was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In her younger day she loved to ride horses, go dancing, and spend time bowling. In her retirement years she enjoyed spending time fishing and playing cards on Friday night with the ladies.
She will be forever remembered for loving her family more than anything!
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 11:00 - 12:00 at the Deal Funeral Directors Funeral Home on Hwy 80 with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Middle Ground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery 7198 Harville Rd. Statesboro, GA 30458.
