Michelle Saxon

Michelle Geiger Saxon died peacefully in her home on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Michelle was born in Savannah, Georgia on May 23rd, 1955. She attended Southeast Bulloch High School and graduated in the class of 1973. She was a lifelong resident of Stilson and a member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church. Michelle enjoyed antiquing and thrifting with her granddaughter, sewing, as well as gardening. Her hands were rarely still, always busy tending to a project.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy Geiger.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Winfield Saxon (Rob) and James Calvin Saxon (Jim) and his wife, Katie; her grandchildren, Cal, Hadley, Lucy, Natalie, and Colleen; her daughter-in-law, Janifer Saxon; her brother, Roland Geiger; her dear friend, Ruthie Foss; her beloved dog, Opal; as well as many cousins and other family members.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at 10am at Old Fellowship Baptist Church, funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial will be at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

Pallbearers will be Cal Saxon, Wick Geiger, Wes Sherrod, Austin Paige, Adam Harville, and Seth Upchurch.

The family requests contributions be made to Old Fellowship Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
