Ottaviana (83) was born in San Pellegrino in Alpe (Tuscany, Italy), the eighth child of Pacifico and Chiarina (Bechelli) Lazzurri. Beloved wife of Guido for 67 years; proud mother of Lidia and Ricciardetto; loving grandmother of Stephen (Heidi) Agauas and Kristin (Jefferey) Gehring: and adoring great-grandmother of Griffin, Madison Vianna, and Greyson.
She is survived by two sisters in Italy, Rita and Anna; by brothers-and sisters-in-law; and many precious nieces and nephews and their families, both in Italy and the U.S.
Those who knew Ottaviana will remember her love for storytelling and joyous laughter. She had an infectious personality, a deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and a gift for making others smile and feel welcome. She was unwavering in her commitment to her family.
Memorial gathering 10am Saturday, February 22nd until the 11am Memorial Service at Creekside Christian Church, 1892 E Auburn Rd, Rochester Hills.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to a house of worship or the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Scalzi was so beautiful inside and out. She made you feel welcome from her first smile! She was so kind! My prayers are with the Scalzi family during this time.

Aunt Ottavianna was always so sweet and kind to me, she was so nice to be around. Everytime i would see her, she would compliment something about me, whether it was my hair, my face, my outfit. She would always find something and i love her for it. She always had a smile on her face and was happy to see everyone all together. The least i could do is write this. May she rest in peace, she will forever live on in our hearts, watching us everyday.
