Joyce Hardy Scott, 80, of Siloam, North Carolina passed away March 30, 2026, at The Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Born July 25, 1945, to the late Cecil Eugene Hardy and the late Norma Mooney Hardy. Joyce worked as a farmer. In addition to farming, she was a devoted homemaker, avid lawn mower and gardener, and dedicated spoiler of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of family and love. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Draughn and Conrad, and Kristy Elmore and Kinsey; son and daughter-in-law, Perry Scott and Renee; grandchildren, Isaac Draughn and Kyndal, Jacob Draughn and Amanda, and Billy Elmore and Faydra; great grandchildren, Ella Draughn, Lucian Draughn, Rosie Draughn, Olivia Draughn, Scarlett Draughn, Rynlee Elmore, and 2 on the way; step great grandchildren, Haley Hawks, Emily Hawks, and Ethan Hawks; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert Hardy and Carolyn. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott is preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Franklin “Bill” Scott; and grandchildren, Bailey Elmore IV, and Carrie Elmore. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service. The funeral will be held, following the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday April 2, 2026, with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating, and Perry Scott to speak. Burial will follow in the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for all the staff that helped care for Mrs. Scott in her time at the Hospice Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at P.O. Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Scott family.
