Thomas Parks Stone

Mr. Thomas Parks Stone, age 63, of Elkin, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born February 9, 1963, the son of Richard Parks Stone and the late Frances Elizabeth Futch Stone. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Janice Turner, Leon Turner, and Ronnie Turner.

Mr. Stone proudly served the United States of America as a Navy veteran on the USS Merrimack AO-179 naval vessel. Thomas worked for many years in the food industry as a chef after his time in the Navy. Mr. Stone never liked being the center of attention, but his kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He always had a passion for cooking and sharing with everyone around him. His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the loved he shared, and his memories that will be forever cherished. Left to cherish his memories are Gary McLellan and Patricia McLellan; his son, Zack Stone; his daughter Jessica Merchant; numerous grandchildren; his sisters, Arlene Fields Turner, Sherry Turner, and Brenda West (Don); and his brothers, Randy Turner and Ricky Stone.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, Moody-Davis is serving the Stone family.
