Obituary of Joyce "Joy" Ann Sebring
Joy Ann Sebring (Joyce Price Renfrow) transitioned to Jesus's open arms with her beloved husband, Rich, at her bedside on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
Joy was born on November 16, 1944 in Bloomington, Illinois to the late Ruby Kiper Price and James Lee Price. She graduated from Octavia High School in Colfax, Illinois She married Bill Renfrow and they had three daughters. While raising her family she managed to keep a spotless house, loved selling Avon, making crafts, sewing clothes for her daughters' Barbie dolls and working on her tan.
Her first marriage ended in divorce and she moved to Mesa, AZ in 1984. She continued to be a socialite, enjoying conversation and making friends with those she worked with and lived near.
She married Richard Sebring December 18, 2001 and they moved to Willow Springs, Missouri where she got involved with church and loved the Tuesday Study Club. They both made many lifelong friends while living there. They eventually wanted milder winters and moved to Warner Robins, Georgia, finding the perfect house where she continued her love of decorating. She was delighted when Rich bought her a She Shed, now able to decorate a second place. Joy loved Facebook in her later years which allowed her another way to socialize, especially during illness and usually ending her post with "Lovin' life".
She was proud of her daughters, Teena Renfrow, Tammi DeVan (William), and Jamie Huckstead. She loved her 'Gand peeps' Killian Huckstead, Alexandria (Allie) DeVan, William (Liam) DeVan and Sydney DeVan and her great grand peep, Scout Huckstead-Rousey. She has three surviving siblings, Jim Price, Mary Kerfoot and Mickie Schnor. Her brother, Ray Price preceded her in death. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Sam, Missy, Petie, Gracie and Scooter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
It is with great honor Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements for Joy Ann Sebring.
