Joyce Smith

Joyce Smith, age 74 of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born January 30, 1951 in West Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Robert Lee Sanders & Veneda Watson Sanders. She was the wife of the late Jimmy Dale Smith. She is survived by her Sons: Jimmy Dale (Pamela) Smith Jr. of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Robert James (Lori) Smith of Pikeville, Kentucky; & Ames Edward Anthony "Tony" Smith of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Justin, Missy, Austin, Davey, Steven, Nicky, Jasmine, Matthew, Taylor, Sam, Jenna, Hazel, Emma & Chasity; Several Great Grandchildren; Brother: Jimmy Douglas Sanders of Prestonsburg, Kentucky & Bobby Sanders of Ivel, Kentucky; Sister: Janet Adams of Ivel, Kentucky. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her Daughter: Angela Smith. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will begin Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 6pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 12 noon at the funeral home with Freddie Lewis officiating
Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery, Boyd Branch, Banner, Kentucky
