Joyce Martin Strickland

Joyce Martin Strickland, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at her home surrounded by family and friends at the age of 86. Joyce was born in Lebanon to the late Andrew Dudley Martin, Sr. and Kathleen Morse Martin. Joyce was a proud member of Faith Lutheran Church in Tullahoma. She retired from Walmart after 50 years of service. Joyce was also a member of the South Eastern Chapter of the International Edsel Club. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Odell Strickland; and two sisters, Wanda "Fluff" Sherrill and Donna Gail Martin. She is survived by her son, Jeff Strickland (Kim); one brother, Andrew D. Martin, Jr.; sister-in-law, Brenda Joyce Strickland; several cousins, including Linda Martin Tate; special friends, Darlene Buckner, Katrina Northcutt, Beth Thoma, Holly Snow, Daniel Ramirez, and Jean Emmett; and her fur baby, Petey. A private graveside service will be held at Cowgill Cemetery in Davidson County. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 1:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Tullahoma with Pastor Marty Nutter officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
