Joyce Sutton Obituary
Joyce Ward Sutton, 78, of Whittier, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Skyland Care Center.
Joyce was a native of Jackson County and a daughter of the late Edward Hardy and Margie Cooper Ward. She was a very hard worker and spent 31 years working for Buster Brown until its closure and then she worked for 16 years at Harrah's Casino. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and loved her family very much.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie Monteith and Tommy Sutton (Robbie); a sister, Shirley Elders (Charles); four grandsons, Christopher Monteith, Michael Monteith, Ryder Sutton, and Lincoln Sutton; and a special nephew, Dewayne Elders.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Appalachian Funeral Services & Crematorium with a graveside service to follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
