Joyce V. Swenson

Joyce V.  Swenson, 93, of Moorhead, MN, passed away the morning of Thursday, November 9th at her home from pancreatic cancer.

Joyce Veretta Heller was born February 23, 1930, in Moorhead.  Joyce was the first child of Hugo and Olga Heller. She was sister to Clarence, Vernon & Glenn.

After graduating from Wolverton High School, Joyce attended Fargo Business School. Her first employment position was with Walman Optical and later with American Crystal Sugar Company, Moorhead.

She married Lawrence Swenson, December 31, 1950, they shared 52 years of marriage.

Joyce loved family, friends & flowers and was happiest when surrounded by all three.

Joyce is survived by a son, Steve, Moorhead, and a daughter, Karen Foster (Kent), Decorah, IA; three grandchildren, Eric (Kylee), Burnsville, MN, Shannon Wander (Adam), Albany, MN, and Micheal Foster, Piedmont, OK; two great grandchildren, Cora & Cooper Wander, Albany, MN.

Visitation: Fri. November 17th, 5-7 P.M., with a prayer service at 7 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral: Sat. November 18th, 2 P.M., at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
