Joyce Elaine Todden

Joyce Elaine Todden, 76, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at Jamestown Nursing, Rehabilitation and Memory Care Center on March 8, 2024. Joyce was born on December 28, 1947, in Decatur, Illinois, to Ralph and Mary (Corbin) Robb. Joyce graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois, in 1966. Joyce married Gary Lee Todden, the love of her life, on July 10, 1971, in Peoria, Illinois.
Joyce worked for IBM after high school until she opened her in-home daycare program in Sunnyland, Illinois, in the late 1970s. She ran her daycare, Todden's Toddlers, for a decade before returning to work as a receptionist for Aetna, and then later at Pearl Insurance.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Robb and Mary (Corbin) Leach, and sister, Karen Robb.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Gary Todden of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two children, David Todden of East Peoria, Illinois, and Denise (Russell) Gibson of The Woodlands, Texas; two grandsons, Luke Gibson and Grant Gibson; two sisters, Helen Mount and Barbara Robb of St. Charles, Missouri; and one brother, Ralph Robb of Eureka, Illinois.
Joyce loved her family and friends and was always willing to help in their time of need. She enjoyed fishing and spent countless weekends with Gary and their friends camping at Oak Run. Joyce had many different hobbies she enjoyed throughout the years including painting ceramics, making fleece blankets, baking and shopping. She also loved the holidays, hosting family get-togethers, the color purple, and the beautiful Northwest Arkansas scenery.
A private burial of ashes will take place at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Peoria, Illinois.
