Joyce W. Torok

Joyce W. Torok, of Upper Southampton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, 91 years after her birth on January 15, 1932. Joyce was born in Millheim, PA to Pearl (nee Haines) and Orren Wagner. She is the loving mother of Keith (Beth), Bruce (Barbara), Garth (Annemarie) and Scott (Kim); grandmother of Nathan (Kaitlyn), Jacob (Casey), Andrew (Lany), Samantha, Harrison, Peter, Emily, Zachary, Emma and Luke. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Steve in 2012 and grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew.
Joyce received a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry at Susquehanna University in 1953. She began her working career at Hercules, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware. Several years later she married Steve and started a family at which time she became a fulltime stay at home Mom raising her four (4) boys. Joyce was a women of faith who believed that there was nothing more important (outside of the Lord) than ensuring her sons were raised properly. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, cooking, the Phillies and ironing as well as family vacations and visiting with family and friends. After raising her family, it was rare to not see Joyce and Steve together, whether it was traveling, going to church, local activities or visiting with her sons and their families. She often said that she was most proud of how her family enjoyed being together. She will be remembered most for the faith and family values that she instilled in all of her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joyce's Life Celebration on Thursday January 19, 2023 from 10 to 11:00 AM at North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Road, Churchville, PA. Services will begin at 11:00. Interment will be at North and Southampton Church Cemetery.
