Joyce Gregory Whitt

Joyce Marie (Gregory) Whitt of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan has peacefully passed away on December 5th, 2025. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on February 21, 1928. She lived most of her life in her beloved city of Owensboro, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by husband Carl Winfrey Whitt, her parents, Claude and Cora (Marsh) Gregory, her sister, Annette Himes (Harvey) as well as her daughter, Carla Ann Whitt and her son, Gregory Carlton Whitt (Sandra). She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Frank Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Whitt Henson (Kevin) of Royal Oak, Michigan. She has 1 grandchild, Lindsey Whitt Wisenbaker (Michael) of Dallas, Texas. She has 3 great grandchildren, Whitt, Hill and Conner Wisenbaker. She also leaves a niece, Kimberly Himes Jones (Terry) of Manitou, KY and nephew, Jeff Himes (Kathy) of Hebron, KY.

Joyce was a joyful spirit that will be greatly missed! She was grateful for her life, to be of service to God and to those less fortunate here on Earth. She loved dogs and all of her animals. She loved working as a Phlebotomist for Western Ky Regional Blood Bank for many years. She loved her chocolate as well as her occasional bourbon. Celebrate her life when you enjoy either!

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2830 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY.
