Joyce Wilson Obituary Joyce Ann Starr Wilson
February 13, 1936- July 16, 2025
"A life well lived and much loved" Joyce left this earth leaving us with wonderful memories and lives rich with creativity, adventures and undying support. She was extremely proud of her children,13 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.
She was the daughter of John and Katherine Starr and wife Sayre Wilson (2009). Joyce leaves behind a sister Kathy Starr and four children: David Wilson (Barb Hissam), Susan Wilson Eardley (Ron Eardley), Rob Wilson (Connie Stillwell) and Amy Wilson Mateer.
Grandchildren: Brian Wilson (Chrystal), Leah Wilson (Becca), Sarah Eardley Giusto (Kenneth), Jonathan Eardley, Daniel Eardley, Lucas Eardley, Danielle Wilson Maddox (Chris), Joshua Wilson (Katie), Seth Wilson (Ashley), Jake Reckner, (Jessica), Katie Reckner, Cody Reckner, Mia Fidram.
Great-grandchildren: Wes, Liddie, Hunter, Hayden, Kane, Evelyn, Gavin, Sophia, Wyatt, Aubrey and Oliver.
Joyce worked and impacted many lives during her long career as a school bus driver at Beaver Local where she was active in the union and school related activities. As her family it is frequently that we hear the comment "I rode Joyces bus", thank you to all her "bus kids" that have reached out, she truly enjoyed every encounter.
Later in life and a testament to lifelong learning Joyce obtained her real estate license and assisted many families in obtaining new homes which was her joy.
As a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of East Liverpool, she participated in many circles and groups as well as driving the church bus.
In her golden age, together she and Jim Burcham, the love of her life, spent over a decade of traveling and being together. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Joyce Ann (Starr) Wilson, please visit our Tree Store.
