Joyce Ellen Winkowski

Joyce Ellen Winkowski, age 67, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Luke's Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri.
Joyce was born the daughter of Ray and Mary (Williams) Darr, on July 8, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1975 graduate of Hiawatha High School. On August 25, 1982, Joyce married Richard Winkowski, in Sycamore, Illinois. They met through a drive-thru window. He survives of the home.
Joyce was an LPN, and worked at Hedrick Medical Center for 22 years. She was working at the Baptist Home when she retired from nursing in 2020. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and seeing sunflowers. Joyce liked to play the lottery tickets, she enjoyed her winnings. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Rick; one son, Josh Winkowski (Jess) of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kamry, Isabella and Kayden; one brother, Steve Saale (Mary Kay) of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister Terrie Toney (Dennis) of Trenton, Missouri; one niece, Leslie Wilson-Parr (Niki) of Chillicothe, Missouri; one nephew, Travis Darr (Tracy) of Chillicothe, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rita Darr; and one nephew, Matt Darr.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
