Joyce Ann (Bauer) Zalis, passed away on June 26 2024, in Pleasureville, KY, at the age of 80. She was born on October 2, 1943, in Grove City, PA, to her loving parents, William Bauer and Elizabeth Pearl (Myers) Bauer. Joyce was a dedicated Medical Records Technician at Barberton Hospital in Barberton, OH, where she served with compassion and professionalism.
Joyce's life was beautifully colored by her love for flowers and her passion for exploring National Parks around the country. Her vibrant spirit and love for nature left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her journey through life, Joyce was blessed with a loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Paul Zalis; two daughters, Kimberly Joyce Mathias of Barberton, OH, and Lisa Marie Houle of Pleasureville, KY; one son, Joseph Paul Zalis, Jr. (Jody) of Gilbert, AZ; one sister, Karen Holtz of St. Libory, IL; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Joyce is now reunited in peace with her parents and her brother James Bauer. She is also preceded in death by two cherished grandchildren: Angela Pearl Wilson and Zachary Zalis.
Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her well. Joyce's legacy of kindness, love for family, and zest for life will be treasured by all who had the privilege of sharing in her journey.
May she rest in eternal peace.
