Jozef Cabaj

Jozef Cabaj, age 50, of McHenry, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, after fighting a long, courageous battle against colon cancer. Jozef was born in Poland on March 18, 1975, to Stanislaw and Zofia Cabaj. As a young adult, Jozef moved to the United States to join his parents, where he met the love of his life, Agata Olech and they wed on December 2nd.
Jozef was a man who lived life to the fullest and had an endless curiosity about how things worked. Fascinated by aerodynamics, he possessed an incredible knowledge of airplanes. He had a real love for motorcycles and antiques, along with a deep passion for technology and computers, understanding their intricate workings and how they connected the world through information. Jozef was the proud proprietor of AJ Services, a commercial cleaning business he built with his wife based on hard work and dedication. Above all, he was a devoted husband and proud "girl dad" who adored his three daughters beyond measure. His family was the center of his life and the source of his greatest joy. Our hearts are broken as God called him home far too soon. Jozef will forever remain in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers-his memory living on through the love he gave so freely.
Survived by his wife, Agata; daughters, Patrycja, Monika, Kamila Cabaj; sisters, Grazyna (Kazimierz) Gruszka, Irena (the late Tadeusz) Loch; many nieces and nephews.
Proceeded by his parents; brother, Janusz Cabaj.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until closing prayers at 9:15 a.m. at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 2302 W John Street, Johnsburg.
Interment will follow the mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
